The exact assortment may vary according to availability, so check the current product listing for the varieties, pack sizes and quantities included in your box.
What Is the Haribo Originals Selection Box?
The Haribo Originals Selection Box is a curated confectionery gift featuring recognisable favourites from across the Haribo range. - A colourful assortment of classic Haribo favourites
- Fruity, chewy, foamy and potentially fizzy varieties
- Recognisable sweets enjoyed across generations
- Gift-ready presentation for birthdays and celebrations
- Suitable for sharing, movie nights and family treats
- A thoughtful present for dedicated Haribo fans
- Plenty of contrasting shapes, flavours and textures
Classic Haribo Favourites in One Gift Box
The selection is inspired by the Haribo sweets that have become staples of British sweet shops, sharing bags and pick and mix counters. Depending on the current assortment, favourites may include:
- Haribo Gold Bears
- Haribo Starmix
- Haribo Tangfastics
- Haribo Supermix
- Haribo Giant Strawbs
- Haribo Cola Bottles
- Haribo Twin Snakes
- Haribo Heart Throbs
- Haribo Chamallows
- Haribo Fizzy Sweets
This variety is the point. Smooth gummies can sit beside foam-backed favourites, recognisable cola bottles and sweets with a sharper fizzy finish, ensuring the box remains interesting from the first packet to the last.
From the Dancing Bear to Goldbears
Haribo was founded by Hans Riegel in Bonn, Germany, in 1920. The company name combines the opening letters of Hans Riegel Bonn, creating a brand name now recognised throughout the world.
In 1922, Haribo introduced its Dancing Bear fruit gums. These became the predecessor to the Goldbear, which was launched in 1960 and developed into the famous gummy bear known today. Its compact bear shape, assortment of fruit flavours and characteristically chewy texture helped establish it as Haribo’s defining product.
Gold Bears remain central to the brand, but the decades that followed brought an extraordinary variety of bottles, rings, eggs, hearts, snakes, strawberries, marshmallows and fizzy sweets. The Haribo Originals Selection Box brings that broader history together in one colourful gift.
Starmix – Several Haribo Icons in One Bag
Haribo Starmix has become one of Britain’s most familiar sharing selections by combining several popular shapes in a single bag. Bears, hearts, fried eggs, rings and cola bottles create a mixture of fruity flavours and contrasting textures.
Its appeal lies in the variety. One handful might contain a soft foam-backed heart, a chewy cola bottle and a fruit-flavoured bear, making Starmix a useful introduction to several sides of Haribo at once.
Supermix – Soft, Foamy and Fruity
Supermix offers a gentler contrast to Haribo’s firmer gummies and heavily fizzy sweets. Its assortment commonly features milk bottles, sheep, ice cream shapes and foam-backed pieces with soft textures and creamy fruit flavours.
Including softer sweets alongside classic gummies gives a selection box more range. It also provides something for recipients who prefer a tender bite to an intensely sour coating.
Tangfastics and the Fizzy Side of Haribo
Tangfastics brings a sharper personality to the box. Fruit-flavoured gums and familiar novelty shapes are finished with a tangy coating, creating the combination of sweetness and mouth-tingling sourness that has made the range a longstanding favourite.
Fizzy cola bottles and other sour varieties can add further contrast. They prevent a mixed selection from becoming too predictable and provide a lively alternative to smooth, sugar-free gummy surfaces—not that anybody has ever accused Tangfastics of being subtle.
Giant Strawbs, Cola Bottles and Other Pick and Mix Icons
Many of Haribo’s individual sweets have become permanent fixtures within British Pick and Mix Sweets. Giant Strawbs provide a large strawberry-inspired chew, while cola bottles combine a familiar drink flavour with one of confectionery’s most recognisable shapes.
Twin Snakes introduce paired fruit flavours and a playful design, while Heart Throbs combine strawberry and cream notes in a pink-and-white heart shape. Together, these sweets demonstrate how Haribo builds memorable products from straightforward combinations of flavour, texture, colour and shape.
Marshmallows and Foam Sweets Add Texture
A good confectionery selection should not make every bite feel identical. Chamallows and other foam-based sweets introduce a softer, lighter texture alongside the firmer gummies and chewy fruit gums.
This contrast makes the box more enjoyable to explore and gives recipients the chance to compare several distinct Haribo styles without buying numerous separate collections.
The Perfect Gift for Haribo Fans
The Haribo Originals Selection Box makes a cheerful gift for recipients of many ages. Children recognise the colours and playful shapes, teenagers appreciate the fizzy and fruity varieties, while adults often rediscover sweets associated with childhood parties, cinemas and family holidays.
